Learn4Life Hosts Virtual HBCU Campus Tours and Explores Black Family Culture

Three-day summit on Black family culture and spoken word competition among virtual celebrations for Black History Month

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Learn4Life honors Black History Month with the belief that Black history is American history and fostering its understanding can benefit the 47,000 students it serves each year. In that spirit, Learn4Life has planned a month of activities, conversations and competitions to engage students, staff and the public.

Ever wonder what it would be like to attend a Historically Black College and University (HBCU)? Eleven HBCUs and Hispanic Serving Institutions will provide a glimpse into their school, college life and admission requirements at a Virtual College Week (Feb. 8-11) highlighting Central State in Ohio, Florida A&M and Winston-Salem State in North Carolina and more. Visit www.learn4life.org/college-week for the complete schedule. Learn4Life students benefit from increased access to HBCUs thanks to a one-of-a-kind partnership with 1890 Foundation.

Explore The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity, a presentation from the Learn4Life Black Leadership Alliance. This three-day Black History Virtual Summit (Feb. 23-25, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. PST) will feature student presentations of art, mixed media, poetry and discussion that depict the experience and history of Black family culture. The summit is open to the public and can be accessed at https://learn4life.org/blackhistory/.
