ITELBPO: Winner of Caribbean Council excellence in international business award

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica-based company itelbpo was named by an international panel of senior business experts, winner of The Caribbean Council’s inaugural “Excellence in International Business”.

The award, recognising Caribbean entrepreneurial talent, was presented by president of the Jamaica Promotions Agency (Jampro), Diane Edwards, on November 25 during the Caribbean Council’s 2020 virtual Conference.

Hamish Perry, representing the award’s sponsor Charles Russell Speechlys, congratulated the winner saying “We wanted to recognise this company for taking a chance in an industry that had previously had a lukewarm reception in the Caribbean. Its founding chairman and chief executive officer, Yoni Epstein saw the potential for employment and growth, and seized the opportunity to develop a sustainable enterprise in the Business Process Outsourcing industry.”

Yoni Epstein, receiving the award said, “I am delighted to receive this prestigious award on behalf of board and the staff at Itelbpo. In a year like 2020 which has come with so many ups and downs, it is great to be closing the year with this award”.

“I would like to pay tribute to our team members that have supported the group throughout the pandemic. They have continued to support their clients and have continued to make us proud in the face of a global pandemic.”

“I am receiving the award on behalf of them, which is truly a proud moment for myself and for the rest of the company”.

Receiving a special mention for their innovations in transport is the Barbados-based company Caribbean Transit Solutions –EasyTrak Solutions & BeepBus. The company will receive a mentorship package from a member of the Caribbean Council.
