Ethiopia – India dialogue on tea and coffee production

ETHIOPIA / INDIA – Director-General of the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority, Adugna Debela, and the Indian ambassador to the African country, Shri Robert Shetkintong, discussed the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the sector.

Debela stressed the long-standing diplomatic relations between Addis Ababa and New Delhi and similar views in various areas of cooperation, state broadcaster Fana quoted the state broadcaster as saying.

He recalled that Indian investors were present in the Ethiopian coffee and tea sector. The parties discussed ways to jointly address potential problems that may arise in this sector of the economy, as reported by Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS. Later, Shetkintong visited the Coffee Processing Authority’s training centre.
