Would the Psalms of David be the key to oust government?

By Caribbean News Global contributor

CASTRIES, St Lucia – The government of Saint Lucia is calling on all Saint Lucians, at home and abroad, to come together in reflection and prayer.

Psalms 109:8 says: “Let his days be few; let another take his office”. This is the citation being offered as a rallying cry against prime minister Allen Chastanet, for Monday, May 24, 2021, a national day of prayer and fasting from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

History records that some people do indeed worship Satan instead of God. The adversity is that Satan is a liar, as those who follow him eventually discover, that Satan who is already a defeated foe, wants you to commit your life to him by submission in prayer.

In the tragedy that Saint Lucia faces, consider, John 8:44: “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

The government of Saint Lucia public invitation says, all are invited to spend the day in reflection and virtual fellowship regardless of religious persuasion and to take some time for positive reflection, for meditation, to spread hope and comfort and build solidarity.

“The decision for the national day of prayer and fasting was taken by the Cabinet of ministers, following discussions with church leaders, and after careful reflection on the past year and recognizing that we are in unprecedented times,” the bewildered prime minister said.“We acknowledge that as a people we can do nothing without Christ and as a Christian Nation our source is greater than ourselves and we need God to overcome our challenges.”

Yes, Satan still has worshippers. Don’t be deceived, but make Christ the center and the foundation of your life. Not politicians and religious clergy to gain attention, such as trying to prove how liberal they are, while they conceal their evil endeavours.

Jesus’ promise is for you to: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

While this day of national togetherness in spirit is expected to feature participation from all local faith-based organisations, the opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) has not been officially invited to participate in the scheduled programme.

The SLP in a statement Friday, said: “The party recognises the value of prayer and will always encourage Saint Lucians’ to constantly pray for whatever their needs, especially the need at this time for deliverance from our deteriorating health and socio-economic conditions.”

The SLP cited Matthew 6:6: “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.”

On the eve of general elections and into the second year of COVID-19, the “Separation of Church and State” is non-existent in Saint Lucia.

Many are aware of the principle that government must maintain an attitude of neutrality toward religion. This concept has broken down under the United Workers Party (UWP) Chastanet-led administration. The Church and clergy in Saint Lucia are under State control and interference.

The wise counsel of Sir John Compton remarked and paraphrasing here – take care of the souls for Christ – let me take care of the people bellies.

The Chastanet-led UWP seems opposed to righteous vs. indignation in every way possible, are busy fighting for the souls of man, entangled with religious convictions and the gift of a vote for survival. This combination is absolutely evil.

St Lucia’s political and religious barons succumb to Babylonia

“The archdiocese of Castries is no less immune, with a clergy and shepherd, constipated to speak out and to seek redress, to the evils of society, has seemingly submitted to the moneyed class, for sizable contributions in the collection basket. And even to openly campaign in homilies, and phone calls, hiding behind the religious cloth. Further, the compromise measure of this acceptability is found in the order of political and religious barons, kneeling to the latest curfew measures.”

While there is a greater need to pray for deliverance from a colonialist prime minister, his Cabinet of ministers, the disastrous mismanagement of the country, the chief medical officer, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF), etc, who keep playing with lives and livelihood; questions are unanswered as to why Saint Lucians’ are called to fasting and praying, on Monday; when this is a constant state of existence, made more profound by the COVID-19 pandemic and the so-called State of Emergency?

St Lucia: A police state just like Hitler days

Moreover, why pray with/for a prime minister who is challenged on national television, reciting the Lord’s Prayer, while his government policy is evil and disadvantaged to the greater good of the people that are starving, deprived of their livelihood and are at greater risk of losing there lives.

      • Monday should be a day of deliverance from a government of wickedness, suffering and maladministration.
      • Monday should be a day of immunity from the scourge of power-hungry politicians.
      • Monday should be a day of deliverance from the Gods of greed and political leaders double-dipping on claims of integrity and conscience
      • Monday should be a day of deliverance from chock-full public officials with wicked intentions, hatred, and brutishness.

Saint Lucians’ have suffered far too long at the hands of the UWP led-administration, that no amount of prayer can solve, without action.

James 2:17 –  “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

James 2:18 – “But someone will say: “You have faith and I have works.  Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

Prime Minister Allen Chastanet leads the Nation in Prayer, February 8, 2021

If prayer and fasting, is all the relief the prime minister of Saint Lucia can offer, underlined with the power to cause submission for the love of money, greed and political posturing, then Satan will be bound forever.

The administration is morally and intellectually bankrupt, coupled with their association with very shady characters in the domestic and international realm, that are under active monitoring, according to US sources.

The center and foundation of a Chastanet-led administration is further evidence of the deliverance that Saint Lucia requires.

One day for prayer and fasting. One day for general elections.

What’s the difference? Same result: Deliverance!

Saint Lucians’ are convinced that Satan alone is worthy of the UWP’s worship and obedience; believing that they can harness Satan’s power for their own good (May 26, Full Moon).

“Not this time Prayer Worriers,” says a UWP 2016 disciple “ I need God – and God cannot lie.”
