Renaissance Physicians Partners Launches Initiative to Acquire Independent Houston Providers

Physician-led entity to collaborate with Capital Group for Better Health to reduce administrative burden for medical practices throughout region

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Renaissance Physicians Partners (RPP), a physician-led organization, announced today that it plans to acquire independent physician practices and offer them a unique way to maintain their autonomy while providing financial stability and increasing provider satisfaction. With the support of Capital Group for Better Health, RPP will acquire physician practices and provide administrative and operational support, and assist in optimizing workflows and systems based on provider experience.

Physician practices are facing increasing pressures due to staffing shortages, rapid business transformation within the industry, increased administrative burdens and more – resulting in many providers considering leaving medicine or selling their medical practices. To help providers and ensure the Houston community retains high-quality health care, RPP’s physician-led approach will offer an alternate option to help alleviate the burdens of managing the business and allow providers to keep their efforts focused on more fulfilling activities like patient care.

“Our primary focus is to help physicians continue to provide excellent care for residents in the Houston area while operating a financially stable business,” said Kevin Horn, MD, chairman of RPP. “We know doctors today are facing numerous stressors with labor, business model changes and simply running their organization. RPP empowers providers to find the joy of practicing medicine again.”

RPP-owned practices will receive administrative and operational support, including population health services, contracting with third-party payers, financial and accounting services and more. As a physician-led organization, RPP will bring the physician’s perspective and voice to all decision-making, streamlining operations and avoiding unnecessary operational and workflow changes that can contribute to additional burnout.

Practices owned by RPP will have the opportunity to participate in payer contracts through Renaissance Physicians Organization network, which has a collective network of 1,400 primary care physicians and specialists who are serving the needs of approximately 45,000 patients in Houston.
