World-Class Event Brings the Full Festival Experience to Jefferson Parish

NEW ORLEANS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The third annual GatesFest Music & Arts Festival is back and better than ever, Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 12PM – 7:30PM, on the grounds of Congregation Gates of Prayer at 4000 W. Esplanade Avenue S. in Metairie, Louisiana. Gates open at 12PM.

Presented by Congregation Gates of Prayer, Wells Fargo, and Humana, GatesFest 2023 will feature food from top local restaurants, an Artist Village of 20+ local and regional artists, a fun-filled Family Fest Area, and a stellar lineup of music, including:

  • Marc Broussard
  • Cowboy Mouth
  • Preservation Hall All-Stars
  • Lost Bayou Ramblers
  • Funk Monkey featuring Arsene DeLay
  • Cap Carter (Australian Singer/Songwriter making his US debut)

In addition to musical performances, GatesFest will feature roaming brass bands and second lines between stage performances, and food and drinks from local favorites Creole Tomateaux, Wolf’s Burgers, and more.

The Family Fest Area, presented by the Jewish Community Day School and J-FLEx will feature fun activities for the entire family, including snacks, arts & crafts, children’s music, magicians, storytellers, and much more. Louisiana’s most beloved artisans will be back with everything from fine arts to children’s art for sale.

New this year, Krewe of Gatesfest and Composer VIP packages will provide guests with private 10×10 tents in prime viewing areas that include personal coolers loaded with snacks and beverages, as well as upgraded restrooms, priority parking, and a fully catered VIP Party with an intimate performance from one of the featured GatesFest artists the night before.

All proceeds from the event support Congregation Gates of Prayer and the Gates Preschool.
