UPLAND, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Friends of Upland Animal Shelter invites the community to participate in its FURst Aid Campaign for medical care donations. With 2,200+ animals on average entering the shelter each year, medical care is one of the shelter’s biggest expenses. Participants in the campaign provide much needed support for surgeries, treatments, spaying and vaccinations of dogs, cats, and other small animals.
The FURst Aid Campaign includes monthly and grand raffle prizes for donations in May, June, and July as well as lots of fun-filled activities including:
Lemon Festival
Friends will be featuring the FURst Aid Campaign at the Lemon Festival in historic downtown Upland, June 10-12. All attendees have an opportunity to participate in an on-site raffle of a Disney-themed basket with 2 Park Hopper tickets and many other prizes as well as take a Jurassic-themed photo.
Free Event Hosted by Friends
Friends is hosting a Vintage Car Show, Sunday, June 26, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Upland Memorial Park. Admission is free for the event which features vehicles from the OldSkool ’66 Cruzers car club. Raffles to support the FURst Aid Campaign will be highlighted.
Andy Peterson, Friends of Upland Animal Shelter Board President commented, “Our medical donation drive is very timely this year. Friends recently received 80 cats and 1 dog that had been hoarded and living in unsanitary, substandard conditions. While this situation is challenging, donations to our FURst Aid Campaign will be used to save and improve the lives of hoarded, abandoned, and other unwanted animals.”
