CycleBar Studios Around the World Ride Toward a Cure for Breast Cancer in October

World’s Largest Boutique Cycling Brand Partners with Susan G. Komen® to Fundraise and Spread Awareness Through Global CycleGives™ Rides

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Worldwide, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, with more than 2 million estimated new cases recorded in 2020. In an effort to spread awareness and contribute to breast cancer research efforts, CycleBar, the world’s largest indoor cycling franchise, is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month through a special CycleGives event.

On Saturday, October 15, 2022, CycleBar studios around the world at participating locations are hosting CycleGives rides that will be open to the public. It is $15 to reserve a bike, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen®.

You can check your nearest studio’s schedule at CycleBar’s website to book your spot in upcoming CycleGives rides. CycleBar’s official beverage partner CELSIUS is donating product to all participating studios to help riders refresh and re-energize after the charity classes.

“At CycleBar, we always show up for our community, and as the brand grows, so does the opportunity to positively impact those communities. This is why we are supporting a cause that affects so many of our valued riders, amazing instructors and extended family,” said Trevor Lucas, President of CycleBar. “We have never done a CycleGives event on a global scale like this before, so we are thrilled to offer this opportunity for our studios to come together with Susan G. Komen and ride for our loved ones and those affected by Breast Cancer.”

“We are grateful for the support and commitment of the amazing CycleBar community as they unite with us against breast cancer,” said Sarah Rosales, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at Komen. “CycleBar is taking their passion for cycling and using it as a force for good with this global event where people around the world will ride as one for an important cause.”

“Funds raised from the global ride will go toward driving critical patient support services for individuals facing breast cancer today and be invested to advance new breast cancer research breakthroughs,” added Rosales.

Among the participating studios is CycleBar San Mateo, owned by breast cancer survivor Jennifer Tipton. Tipton was battling breast cancer as she geared up to open her studio, which finally opened its doors this summer after Tipton conquered the disease.

“I am honored to be a part of the CycleBar family, which has gone above and beyond in supporting me and other individuals with breast cancer,” said Tipton. “I hope the global CycleGives event shows the world how empowering an indoor cycling workout and community can be for breast cancer survivors and anyone else facing adversity. We can be the light at the end of the tunnel for so many people.”

On the same morning, CycleBar will also host a virtual ride on Xponential+, parent company Xponential Fitness’ digital fitness platform, so riders can participate at home if they are not able to make it into their nearest studio. The virtual ride will go live at 9:15am PST.

In addition to the CycleGives rides, CycleBar will also be encouraging riders to rock their pink CycleBar gear every Wednesday for the month of October. A portion of the proceeds from CycleBar’s exclusive CycleBar x Breast Cancer Awareness collection will go to a variety of breast cancer awareness initiatives. You can stock up on your pink retail and Breast Cancer Awareness styles at participating studios nationwide.
