Connecting cultural and creative sectors in the Caribbean with European markets

PARIS, France – The UNESCO Transcultura Programme and South-South Collective from Jamaica invite Caribbean and European creative and cultural professionals to join the International Creative Exchange Caribbean (ICEC) Online 2020 initiative.

This joint action for cultural exchange and cooperation aims to provide comprehensive online business to business (B2B) training and market development opportunities for Caribbean artists. The event will create a platform to engage artists, producers, managers and cultural practitioners in the Caribbean with the Global South and European markets.

Transcultura

Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity is an innovative UNESCO-European Union joint initiative. This programme, funded by the European Union, was launched on January 1, 2020, and it is implemented by the UNESCO Regional Office of Culture for Latin America and the Caribbean with the support of key partners from Cuba the Caribbean. This initiative contributes to the Transcultura Programme objective of deepening integration between Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union in the cultural and creative industries.

Headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica, the South-South Collective, established in 2019, is an art and culture led, business to business collaboration platform that convenes and connects artists, cultural agents and creative practitioners in the Global South.
