CDC’s new quarantine and isolation calculator

ATLANTA, USA, (CDC) – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) new COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation calculator takes the stress out of deciding when, and for how long, people with COVID-19 and close contacts need to stay home, get tested, and wear a well-fitting mask.

The calculator provides important information about what precautions people with COVID-19 and their close contacts can take to protect loved ones and prevent COVID-19 in their communities.

This online, mobile-friendly calculator provides a simple, easy-to-use way to help people follow CDC’s Quarantine and Isolation guidance and get customized information that applies to their unique situation.

When to self-test for COVID-19

Self-tests for COVID-19 give rapid results and can be taken anywhere, regardless of your vaccination status or whether or not you have symptoms.

When to take an at-home COVID-19 test:

Order free tests at COVIDtests.gov.

Free tests are also available through local health departments.

Toolkit for pregnant people and new parents

If you are pregnant or were recently pregnant, you are more likely to get severely ill from COVID-19 compared to people who are not pregnant. Pregnancy causes changes in the body that could make it easier to get very sick from respiratory viruses like the one that causes COVID-19. These changes in the body can continue after pregnancy.

COVID-19 vaccination and a booster shot is recommended for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future.

If you would like to speak to someone about COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy, you can contact MotherToBaby. Experts are available to answer questions in English or Spanish by phone or chat.

Call 1-866-626-6847 – Chat live or send an email MotherToBaby.

Visit CDC’s Toolkit for Pregnant People and New Parents for resources and tools to help pregnant and recently pregnant people, breastfeeding people and new parents caring for infants protect their health.
