Prolucent Health Launches to Advance the Way Healthcare Meets Workforce Needs; Acquires Liquid Compass, Next Generation Jobs Marketplace Connecting Healthcare Workers and Employers

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Prolucent Health®, a new healthcare startup founded by health tech entrepreneur Bruce Springer, has launched to revolutionize the way the healthcare industry meets its workforce needs. Prolucent uses technology, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics to modernize and improve the recruitment, utilization, and cost of healthcare labor. The company’s technologies and tools support cross-functional processes that align the interests of both healthcare employers and workers to provide cost effective and sustainable solutions in support of today’s most challenging workforce issues.

The launch includes the acquisition of Liquid Compass,® a front end recruitment and talent engagement platform that provides recruitment marketing, workforce analytics tools, and an expansive real-time jobs marketplace with geo-location that combine to ensure healthcare employers are equipped with strategies and tools to attract and hire high-quality candidates more efficiently.

“Healthcare recruiting and staffing activities are often fragmented and managed in different systems, which results in redundant, costly, and labor-intensive processes and a poor candidate experience,” said Prolucent CEO Springer. “The labor management process demands new models for engaging workers and advancing their career interests while helping employers meet their staffing needs across the hiring continuum. The acquisition of Liquid Compass is key to our mission of providing game-changing tools and technologies that better connect job seekers and employers in support of healthcare’s unique workforce needs. We welcome the talented management team from Liquid Compass, who have been pioneers in the workforce management industry for the last two decades.”

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the demand for healthcare-related jobs will grow 14 percent by 2028, adding about 1.9 million new jobs and making healthcare the largest employment sector in the U.S. At the same time, the healthcare industry faces widespread talent shortages that are expected to worsen. Talent management platforms like Liquid Compass that are designed specifically for connecting organizations with the healthcare workforce will be critical to support this abnormally high level of demand and jobs search activity.

Springer is a seasoned healthcare entrepreneur and information technology professional with more than 20 years of healthcare IT leadership, sales, marketing, and technology experience. Previously, he co-founded and was president and CEO of Concerro (formerly BidShift), a SaaS company focused on the healthcare workforce market acquired by API Healthcare. He was an independent director for API Healthcare, as well as a co-founder, COO and executive VP of WebMD, an internet healthcare and transaction services business.
