Carbon6 Acquires SoStocked, the Leading Inventory Management Tool for Amazon Sellers

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SoStocked, the first and only fully customizable inventory management and forecasting software built for Amazon sellers by Amazon sellers, has been acquired by Carbon6.

The acquisition of SoStocked enhances the extensive suite of software products that Carbon6 is building as an end-to-end solution to support and empower ecommerce entrepreneurs, according to Justin Cobb, CEO of Carbon6.

“Carbon6 acquires and develops compelling products that support marketplace sellers and the most successful brands in the world,” said Cobb. “When we analyzed the need for inventory management and supply chain solutions, SoStocked stood out immediately as a way to dramatically impact profitability and in-stock rates for sellers. With its exceptional leadership team and strong community of sellers, SoStocked represents exactly what we want to continue to add to the Carbon6 family.”

SoStocked founders Chelsea Cohen, John Koch, and Dan Fernandez will join Carbon6 in leadership capacities and continue to run and advance the SoStocked platform along with stepping into advisory roles within the overall Carbon6 growth plan.

“Online selling, historically, has been very marketing-focused,” said Cohen, CEO of SoStocked and one of the top inventory experts in the Amazon community. “As an Amazon seller since 2014, I felt my business suffering financially due to that narrow view; I realized that inventory management was actually the fastest way to begin recovering my margins. But it’s just the beginning of what we can do to help sellers. The far-reaching mentality of being seller-first and team-oriented, coupled with the advisors, software companies and SaaS founders joining Carbon6, are really what made it a great fit for us.”

Built with extensive feedback from hundreds of Amazon sellers, SoStocked is the first inventory software designed with a true inventory-marketing mindset. The software empowers sellers to tailor inventory reordering to their unique business needs, drive sell-through, minimize stockouts, and reduce overstocking to avoid inventory holding costs and increase profitability.

“I want to change the face of operations and profitability within the ecommerce industry. With Carbon6 we can do that,” added Cohen. “They truly stand behind and support our vision for the future of ecommerce and can provide the team and the resources to help us to go further faster. We’re eager to see all sellers benefit from our coming together.”

“Bringing together serial entrepreneurs, SaaS veterans and some of the smartest thinkers in ecommerce, Carbon6’s software and community help entrepreneurs succeed every step of the way,” said Cobb.
