Greetings Comrades,
The Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia-Cuba – HSA) extends our best wishes to the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) on the occasion of the opening, April 16, 2021, of the VIII Congress of the Party. Our Association has the immense pleasure of having been able to identify ourselves with the CPC and with the various Cuban revolutionary and humanitarian bodies, throughout all the years of the establishment of official relations between our solidarity entities.
The HSA is highly impressed with the fact that Cuba, in these critical moments of the 21st century, continues to demonstrate its incredible scientific capacity, with the development of at least four vaccines, Soberana 1, Soberana 2, Mambisa and Abdala, as a humanitarian and internationalist contribution to the management and elimination of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This magnificent achievement is in process despite the criminal, archaic and inhumane restrictions of the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade of the United States of America, against Cuba, homeland of Antonio Maceo, Ignacio Agramonte, José Martí, Julio Antonio Mella, José Antonio Echeverría, Camilo Cienfuegos, Ernesto Che Guevara, and our unforgettable Comrade, Fidel Castro Ruz, the supreme political, military and administrative leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The HSA hopes that the Biden administration will follow the initiatives of presidents Barack Obama and Raul Castro, with a view to the final and permanent dismantling of this Cold War anachronism, and our Association would also be pleased to see a Resolution of this historic 8th Congress demonstrate the wishes of the heroic people of Cuba to finally be free of this cruel and internationally repudiated blockade.
Our Association would have liked to be physically represented at this historic 8th Congress of the Party, and our inability in this regard, as a result of the COVID-19 plague, weighs heavily upon us. As we avail ourselves of this opportunity to reiterate our incessant solidarity with Cuba, ICAP, and the CPC, please accept, comrades, assurances of our highest consideration and esteem.
