West Indies Women: What’s new

By Caribbean News Global contributor

ST JOHNS, Antigua – Following the launch of the new West Indies Test and Training Kit with our Official West Indies Kit partner, Castore, the West Indies Women will be the first to wear the new One Day International (ODI) range. We know that they’re playing T20Is however we wanted to ensure they had the chance to debut the new ODI shirts first.

West Indies Women to wear Black Lives Matter logo on playing shirts

West Indies batting, bowling and fielding dynamo, Deandra Dottin has praised the new shirts: “This new kit is really suited to us as athletes. The lightweight and flexible material allows the perspiration to dry faster and for me as a batter, I have free movement. I can sweep or sprint for a single without feeling constricted. And the colours give us that Maroon Pride every time we take the field.”

The new ODI shirt is lightweight and flexible with cutting edge performance features like laser cut aeration holes on the sides. The design is bold and eye-catching with contrast yellow panelling and collar, and  two-tone maroon coloring between the body and the arms.  Additionally, the shirt features the iconic palm tree silhouette from the West Indies shield, as well as a subtle palm frond print on the top half of the shirt to make the shirt truly West Indies.

The new training shirts are now back in stock as well as the quarter zip training tops having sold out in July due to their popularity.

Castore are providing free shipping to the Caribbean on all orders above EC$360/BD$250/JM$17,700/GY$26,110 giving you the opportunity to choose a couple of your favorite West Indies gear items. Click here to view and purchase the new range.
