Taipei 101 New Year Fireworks

ONTARIO, Canada – As 2023 is right around the corner, Taipei, R.O.C. (Taiwan), Taipei 101, one of the world’s tallest skyscrapers, is also set to present the most exciting fireworks extravaganza to celebrate the advent of the year 2023.

Taiwan’s landmark Taipei 101 will ring in the new year with 16,000 fireworks and a light show to welcome 2023 with an impressive display of color, light and sound.

Taipei Financial Center Corp (TFCC)., which manages the skyscraper, released December 15, a 30-second animation previewing the upcoming five-minute extravaganza. ThemedCaring for the World and Shining Dreams,” the event will feature a variety of images, including doves, smiley faces and the tree of life, according to the TFCC.

The light show will be transmitted via a brand-new mesh screen that wraps around all four sides of the building and uses the latest chip-free, low-smoke technology, the TFCC said, adding that it is the building’s first multimedia display combining beam lights, lasers, animations and music.

Taiwan’s TV station CTS has agreed to transmit via satellite feed live coverage of the fireworks show, which will begin at 11:45 p.m. on December 31, Taipei time (10:45 a.m., December 31, Toronto time).
