BVI / INDIA – Premier and minister of finance, Natalio D. Wheatley will lead a public-private financial services trade mission to India from 24 to 31 August 2026, aimed at attracting new business, strengthening institutional relationships and expanding the Territory’s presence in the Indian market.
Premier Wheatley will present the delegation on Wednesday.
The Virgin Islands officials will visit New Delhi, GIFT City, Mumbai and Bengaluru for regulatory discussions, industry meetings, business-to-business engagements and BVI financial services roadshows.
The mission is expected to generate qualified business leads for BVI service providers, establish relationships with Indian regulators and financial institutions, increase awareness of the BVI’s financial services offering and create opportunities for long-term partnerships.
The delegation will also promote the BVI’s expertise in corporate structuring, investment funds, private wealth, financial technology and cross-border business.
Following the mission, the government and industry partners will coordinate follow-up with prospective clients and institutions to convert the contacts made into measurable business opportunities for The Virgin Islands.
