MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Association for Black Economic Power (ABEP) is pleased to announce the installment of four (4) new board members to its Board of the Directors.
The following individuals recently took on their new leadership roles with the organization:
- Simone L. Hardeman-Jones, founding Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Twin Cities
- Ibrahim Owolabi, Human Resource Business Partner with Involve Africa Development Organization
- Chaz Sandifer, Founder and wellness Guru with theNEWmpls
- Grover Jones, Owner of Grover C. Jones & Associates consulting services
ABEP Board Chair, Dr. Valerie Geaither, who is professor emerita of community and family studies at Metropolitan State University, stated that “she’s looking forward to working with the new members on continuing to make Minnesota’s first Black-led community credit union a reality, in addition to promoting the development of products and services that allow for the creation of economic stability and generational wealth.”
ABEP Board of Directors is the official policy making entity for the organization and is responsible for ensuring that the organization fulfills its mission to the community it serves. The new members of the board join financial compliance professional, Gracie George and Ms. Geaither as the full Board of Directors.
