By Caribbean News Global contributor

CASTRIES, St Lucia — Saint Lucian musician Phil Nessy based in the USA has been in Studio working on his latest project, however; with the murder of George Floyd and other cases of police brutality, he felt compelled to put his latest project on pause.

Consequently, he wrote and produced the tune “Not Gonna Stop”  — to address the recent killing of George Floyd; Botham Jean, Breonna Taylor; Ahmaud Arbery, and the many others that have been “killed at the hands of law enforcement”.

Nessy’s message is to create unity among black people and recommends “ individuals can apply reason to change the current injustice to people of colour.”

Before George Floyd’s murder, Nessy also wrote and produced “Rise 41 Shots” after the murder of Amadou Diallo and Sean Bell.

In his songs, Nessy is adamant that “police brutality, racial profiling and the injustices against all people must stop,” emphasised. “Unity is the way forward and together this can be accomplished.
