Port Nimara sponsors Anguilla Night Shadow Sailing Team – ORC World Championship

The Valley, Anguilla – Port Nimara, Anguilla’s first lifestyle yachting destination announced that, as part of its ongoing engagement with the Anguilla community, it is sponsoring the participation of Anguilla sailors in a series of international regattas and sailing events in collaboration with the Night Shadow Sailing Team.

This week, three talented sailors from Anguilla, including Kendal Richardson, Cheryl Webster, and Thomas Maccow will depart the island to compete in the prestigious ORC World Championship, taking place in Sorrento, on the Bay of Naples, Italy, starting on May 8. The event, which takes place annually, brings together some of the world’s top offshore racing teams and represents one of the highest levels of competitive sailing globally.

This initiative reflects Port Nimara’s commitment to supporting local talent and promoting Anguilla’s presence on the international sporting stage. By partnering with the Night Shadow Sailing Team, the program provides Anguillan sailors with invaluable exposure, high-level competition experience, and the opportunity to develop their skills alongside world-class athletes.

“We are proud to support these exceptional sailors as they represent Anguilla internationally,” said David Mizrahi, executive chairman of Port Nimara. “This is a unique opportunity, and we are delighted to welcome them to Europe and to one of the world’s premier sailing competitions.”
