NEW DELHI, India (TV BRICS) – India maintains its aspirations to become one of the top three economies in the world by 2026-2027 and become a strong player in international value chains. This was stated by an industry spokesperson of the country.

This is a clear objective of the Indian government, Indian minister of state for electronics and information technology Rajiv Chandrashekhar stressed at a forum on public affairs in New Delhi.

He said the authorities aim to make India competitive in global value and supply chains.

“As part of prime minister Narendra Modi’s India Techade vision, we believe that global supply and value chains should be diversified and work will continue to meet this requirement,” he said.

In addition, Rajiv Chandrashekhar spoke about the Asian country’s success in electronic commerce and new projects in artificial intelligence, semiconductor development and manufacturing, quantum computing and others.

Talking about the semiconductor sector, the minister stressed that in just 14 months, the government has created manufacturing and design capabilities and with the new curriculum, 85,000 local talents will soon be trained for India and collaboration with other countries, as reported by Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.
