Foot in mouth disease

Dear Sir

In one week, two government ministers in (St Lucia) made regrettable and unforgettable faux pas. One minister claimed that he was unaware of a show which was extensively advertised. And the other, declaring that the Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium will only be used exclusively for sports and no other activity.

In case of the former, assuming that he might be telling the truth, however as minister for tourism, investment, creative industries, culture and information, Dr Ernest Hilaire, one would have great difficulty believing him.

Related stories:

In the case of the latter, minister for youth development and sports, Kenson Joel Casimir, when every major sporting facility around the world promotes and even encourages multiple use of their sporting facilities for revenue generation to cover operating expenses, it seems ridiculous that our minister for sports would make such an asinine statement, given our limited financial resources and the fact that most of our sporting facilities are in a state of disrepair.

Guys!!! … Think and consult before you open your mouths!!!
