CARICOM – UK foreign ministers meet in London

By CARICOM Secretariat

GEORGETOWN, Guyana – The 12th United Kingdom (UK) – Caribbean Forum convened on 10 March 2026 at Lancaster House, London, bringing together foreign ministers of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Cuba, Dominican Republic and the UK for high-level discussions on regional cooperation and shared priorities.

The Forum serves as a regular platform for dialogue and cooperation on regional issues. It will be co-chaired by the Dr Denzil Douglas, minister of foreign affairs, international trade, industry and commerce, consumer affairs, economic development and investment of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and  Yvette Cooper, MP, secretary of state for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the UK.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the foreign ministers to examine developments in the international environment and advance a joint agenda on trade, investment, security cooperation, and regional development.

Deliberations are expected to contribute to a Plan of Action to guide UK–Caribbean engagement over the two years.

Previously held in May 2023, in Kingston, Jamaica, the Eleventh UK-Caribbean Forum set out commitments for enhanced cooperation in areas including sustainable and economic development, financing for development, climate change, energy and food and nutrition security.
