Brazil – Nepal presidents to address the Global Coalition for Social Justice inaugural forum

GENEVA, Switzerland, (ILO News) – The presidents of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and of Nepal, Ram Chandra Paudel, will participate in the Inaugural Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice, which will take place on Thursday, 13 June, during the International Labour Conference (ILC).

The Forum will feature a high-level segment, thematic working sessions and an engagement zone. The agenda and live broadcast link of the forum can be found on ILO Live

The gathering will give Coalition partners an opportunity to discuss thematic issues related to social justice as well as the challenges, opportunities and potential solutions in respect of advancing the Coalition’s objectives. It will also allow Coalition partners to exchange knowledge, tools, and experiences, and to showcase activities and initiatives undertaken or envisaged in support of social justice.

The Global Coalition for Social Justice was launched in 2023 and has already attracted more than 250 members, including governments, workers’ and employers’ organizations, multilateral and national organizations and financial institutions, academic bodies and international NGOs.

The International Labour Conference, the annual meeting of the 187 Member States of the International Labour Organization (ILO) is being held at the UN Palais des Nations, Geneva, from 3-14 June.
