West Indies Cricket legends touch down in St Vincent ahead of Masters Clash

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent – St Vincent and the Grenadines proudly welcome three giants of West Indies cricket, Courtney Walsh, Sir Curtly Ambrose and Ridley Jacobs, who arrived earlier today at the Argyle International Airport. The legendary players are on island to participate in the highly anticipated West Indian Masters XI vs Rest of the World Masters XI T20 showdown, scheduled for Saturday, 1 November 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Arnos Vale Cricket Stadium. This historic Masters event forms part of the nation’s Independence celebrations and underscores St Vincent and the Grenadines’ growing presence on the sports tourism stage.

As part of their visit, the cricket legends will engage with young talent and communities across the country. On Friday, 31 October at 1:00 p.m., they will attend a special Under-19 exhibition match at the Cumberland Playing Field. Students from schools across North Leeward will have a unique opportunity to meet, interact with, and be inspired by these legendary players. This initiative is designed to motivate the next generation of Vincentian cricketers and highlight the importance of youth empowerment through sport.
