TAIPEI, Taiwan, (TaiwanToday) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) launched a short film October 2 in the lead-up to the 2025 Double Tenth National Day to spotlight Taiwan’s accomplishments and resilience.

According to the MOFA, the 4-minute short titled “Resilient Taiwan” showcases Taiwan’s progress and achievements in sport, smart technology, sustainable development, cultural diversity and national defense.

The film begins with images of iconic landmarks such as Taipei 101 and Yushan, followed by the achievements of national teams at the 2024 WBSC Premier 12 Championship Game, the 2025 Little League Baseball World Series Championship and the 2025 tug-of-war World Games.

The next segment highlights Taiwan’s core position and innovative prowess in global high-tech industries, as well as its indispensable role in the global supply chain with strengths in semiconductor chips, smart agriculture, medical technologies and quantum computing.

The film spotlights progress in advancing a green transition through promoting solar energy, offshore wind energy and marine debris recycling to achieve net-zero emissions in line with international standards. It also contains images of major cultural and religious events that reflect the country’s rich tradition and heritage.

In the segment reaffirming commitment to enhancing self-defense capabilities to ensure national security, the film includes images of the indigenous submarine Hai Kun, the Kee Lung-class destroyer and the annual Han Kuang military exercises. It also features images of president Lai Ching-te’s offshore visits and speeches by international friends commending Taiwan’s contribution and backing its global participation.

The film is available to view and share on the MOFA’s social media platforms and on its official website. It is subtitled in Chinese, English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai and eight other languages, the ministry added.
