TAIPEI / TORONTO – The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, is delighted to announce the participation of 12 Taiwanese enterprises in the Collision Conference. The event will take place at the Enercare Centre, Toronto from June 17 to 20, 2024.
The Taiwan Pavilion will feature a diverse array of startups showcasing their innovative products and services. Highlights include:
- OTSO: Providing FinTech products and consulting services, empowering financial institutions and enterprises with cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
- Asiabots: Enhancing customer communication with AI Voice Tech and AI Customer Service Solutions.
- PlusBlocks Technology: Offering a Web3 gaming portal and community-based platform focused on blockchain games, allowing users to access digital assets such as NFTs and Tokens.
- eTreego: A Taiwan Excellence Award winner, showcasing Electric Vehicle Chargers.
- Renouvo: Specializing in developing innovative plant-based materials by transforming agricultural waste into low-carbon and plastic-free solutions, such as sugarcane straws and bags.
- SINGULAR WINGS MEDICAL: Displaying a Non-invasive Continuous Glucose Monitoring app.
- TAConnect: Providing a platform with various services that can be tailored to the solution needs of different industries.
- LCY Biosciences: Producing Fermented Astaxanthin, Vitamin A, Beta-Carotene, and Lycopene.
- Startup Terrace: Offering offices, housing, co-working spaces, and other state-of-the-art facilities ideal for startup growth and development.
Taiwan aims to develop an innovation-driven economic model. This involves investing in startups and nurturing the next generation of hidden champions, as well as boldly investing in cutting-edge technologies across various fields such as quantum computing, robotics, the metaverse, and precision medicine. This vision aligns with Canada’s goal of creating startup-friendly environments to enhance innovation and economic growth.
Beyond the startup scene, Taiwan’s participation in Collision also highlights its strengths in traditional industries such as manufacturing and electronics. Taiwan’s startup ecosystem is on an upward trajectory, gaining recognition and achieving impressive performances on the international stage. With the aim of expanding Taiwanese startups into North American markets, TAITRA and Startup Terrace will hold a presentation featuring 10 startup businesses at the Taiwan Pavilion on June 19.
