So yes Saint Lucia, 2023 Nobel Laureate month is all done and all thanks to Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy. I do hope Saint Lucia rewards her strong will, attention to detail and loyalty to our nation’s heroes.
But, I could not help highlighting the seeming lack of participation by the acting gentleman at the government house. The attendance at two functions, face set up like a “dèyè poule”. And after every session, it was – off you go -no ostensible socialisation with people.
The question reverberates: Who is advising the acting gentleman?
But let’s move on. And let’s start by asking a few questions:
Has the acting gentleman parted with two APS’s, one ADC and a few police officers since the cold seat he is acting in, is going nowhere?
Is the ADC switched “job for the boyz?”
Are police officers tight-lipped, “protecting their victory and political party?”
Are curious passersby around government house discouraged from road-level photography?
What is the business of the state car with the crown, all over Castries like a regular taxi?
And why is, the media in Saint Lucia staying quiet?
Aha … “You’ll work hard to put Labour in office!”
Problematic to say the least! Anyway, one must crack, just tease them!
Now tell me. A child falls in front of you at the independence parade…in clear view of everyone. You eh even turn or offer some help. Check the clip my people – see for yourself. The King is not supposed to help!
Tic tok, tic tok … in another scenario, waking slow like a lame duck on the people’s parade, face set up as if it’s a pre-fight event. Very much unapproachable, I must say…
Now sources close to receptions and cocktails say, “the colonial house is “drunk and disorderly” with colonial expectations. As a result, what’s the point of acting until Saint Lucia becomes a republic, and a president is installed?
A house guest offered levity, “a comedian acting gentleman”? I am convinced “People in Power (PIP)” can fix that too!
I do, however, believe that a joker should not be allowed to bring down the good name of George F. L. Charles and/or – Philip Pierre’s tenure in office.
