ROSEAU, Dominica – Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit during a national address Monday, announced a cabinet of ministers to the people of Dominica.
Dominica held general elections on December 6, 2022. The ruling Dominica Labour Party (DLP) returned to power with a 19 -2 majority.
The Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) presented a preliminary election report and “commends citizens on the peaceful conduct of the December 6, 2022, general elections.”
The Commonwealth of Dominica new cabinet of ministers are as follows:

Prime minister Skerrit also announced his intention, at the first sitting of parliament, “to nominate Joseph Issac to serve, for a second term, as Speaker in the House of Assembly,” adding. “Senator Phillip Rolle will also be nominated as Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly.”
“The fifth government senator in the parliament of Dominica shall be Austel Lockhart,” said prime minister Skerrit, Monday evening.
