These are Versant Diagnostics’ third and fourth acquisitions in the past nine months
OAK BROOK, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Versant Diagnostics, an independent physician services company, today announced the acquisitions of Pathology Consultants of Chicago located at 2525 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago and the ongoing assets and operations of Elgin Laboratory Physicians, Ltd. These practices increase the footprint and presence of Versant Diagnostics in the greater-Chicago market, and create a wider network of subspecialists for providers and patients.

Earlier this year, Versant Diagnostics announced its strategy to help facilitate access, accuracy and care to medical providers. Supported by more than $100 million in growth capital, the company will purchase pathology groups, while maintaining physician leadership and the integrity of each acquired practice. Further, the company will infuse capital into its practices to convert them to digital pathology.
