St Kitts – Nevis head to the polls

BASSETERRE, St Kitts – St Kitts and Nevis prime minister Dr Timothy Harris on Tuesday, announced his decision to fire six elected government ministers, appointed “replacement ministers” while heading to the polls, within 90 days (August) 2022.

Prime minister Dr Harris stated:

“I have confidence in the people of St Kitts-Nevis, and I strongly believe in the peoples’ right to choose their representatives in free and fair general elections. The time for decision making is at hand.”

“Accordingly, I have asked the governor general to dissolve the parliament of St Kitts-Nevis effective today, May 10, 2022.” That said, general election is due within 90 days, August 2022: “I will advise you when general elections will be held,” said prime minister Dr Harris.
