Air Antilles to significantly increase winter service to the Caribbean

MARTINIQUE / GUADELOUPE – French Caribbean airline, Air Antilles has announced increased service to the Caribbean region ahead of the holiday season.

Schedule service includes daily direct flights from Barbados, Pointe-à-Pitre and Fort-de-France on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

  • From Antigua, the airline will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays via Barbados.
  • From Dominica with return service on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a direct service on Sundays.
  • Extending service from the island of Sint Maarten, Saint Lucia will welcome flights from SXM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and on Sundays via Barbados/Antigua.
  • From Curaçao on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and on Sundays via Barbados/Antigua/SXM.

On December 6, 2021, Saint Lucia will benefit from a capacity of approximately 3,000 seats per month, on the schedule to George F.L. Charles Airport.

Stephane Wessels, chief executive officer of Air Antilles, said: “I am happy to inform all Saint Lucians that Air Antilles will significantly increase its service to Saint Lucia during the winter period 2021-2022. This increase is proof of our commitment to the wider English-speaking Caribbean, which has faced significant reduction in inter-regional air service due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also a demonstration of our confidence in Saint Lucia as a very exciting demand destination for our network. Our winter schedule will offer Saint Lucians the ease of movement across several Caribbean gateways, including Martinique, Guadeloupe, Barbados, Sint Maarten, Curacao, Dominica and now Antigua.”

Marketing manager at the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority(SLTA) with responsibility for the Caribbean market and events, Christopher Gustave, remarked: “We are truly appreciative of the positive response from the team at Air Antilles. This partnership lends support to the efforts of the SLTA in recognizing the arrival of more Caribbean visitors and returning nationals within source markets. The schedule also provides same-day return service making it so much easier to escape to the awe-inspiring island of Saint Lucia”.
