BASSETERRE, St Kitts – Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church Rev Lincoln Connor has expressed his disappointment that June 5, 2020, general elections will not be monitored by overseas observers.
“Our country is looking for people with integrity who they can trust and I really believe that this election cycle, all of us should go out and vote. I must say that I am very disappointed that we are not having overseas observers. I think it is absolutely necessary for the process and the civil society has indicated that we do not have the manpower. That is the reality and it concerns me greatly as a minister of the gospel,” said Connor.
“It is going to affect all of us. I think it is a poor decision and I think it could have been done to ensure that we have international observers on the ground. I really believe that should have happened,” he said.
