
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Office for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Countries has launched Team ECC Talks, a new video series that highlights the people behind the work advancing health and wellbeing across the region.
Team ECC Talks offers a human-centred look at the diverse roles, experiences, and collaborative efforts of PAHO/WHO staff. Through personal stories and reflections, the series brings staff voices to the forefront, showcasing the dedication, expertise, and shared purpose that drive PAHO/WHO’s work in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.
Each episode features members of the PAHO/WHO ECC team sharing insights into their professional journeys, their contributions to public health, and what motivates their commitment to improving the lives of communities across the region. The series aims to foster connection and understanding, while reinforcing the values of teamwork, collaboration, and service that underpin PAHO/WHO’s mission.
The inaugural episode features Dr Amalia Del Riego, PAHO/WHO representative for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean countries, alongside Palani Kesavan, administrator. They introduce the vision behind Team ECC Talks, emphasise the importance of amplifying staff voices, and acknowledge the collective efforts of the team in advancing health for all.
Team ECC Talks will be released regularly across PAHO’s digital platforms.
